Where possible, we use New Zealand–made components, including door jambs manufactured from NZ-grown timber, door leaves from Superior doors in Auckland, and we assemble everything locally in the Far North.
This gives us greater control over quality, consistency, and finish — and ensures the final product is something we can stand behind.
It also supports local suppliers and keeps more of the value within New Zealand — something we believe is worth doing where it’s practical and achievable.

A pre-hung door is a complete door unit where the door leaf is already hung into its frame, with hinges fitted and the unit prepared for installation.
Rather than assembling, drilling, and adjusting everything on site, a pre-hung door arrives ready to install — helping save time, improve accuracy, and achieve a cleaner finish.

How to order our pre-hung doors
Kiwi Carpentry supplies pre-hung doors primarily through Northland trade merchants.
To order pre-hung doors, simply contact your preferred merchant — such as ITM, PlaceMakers, Mitre 10, Bunnings, Carters, or your local supplier — and provide your door schedule or requirements.
Your merchant will place the order with us, and we’ll manufacture the doors to specification.
We also supply directly to selected group home builders where required.

- Cavity sliding doors with steel inserts, ideal for bathrooms and temperature-change areas
- Robemaker tracks, supplied with all required pre-routing
- Full preparation for cavity pockets and sliding systems
